FREE SPEECH FREE PRESS IS DEMOCRACY Update 9 August, 2020

Update 9 August, 2020
Under the new PM Johnson News' reports seem to be very controlled.

Admittedly, with CV19 raging it covers most of the News but at the same time CV19 and the Tory Gov create many other problems which are not openly reported.

There seems to be no objection or revolt from MPs to too many new rules which are devastating people's lives more. Labour Party under new leader Sir Keir Starmer lost power since he pulled it to Right Wing from Jeremy Corbyn's Left Wing Socialism which increased membership to 600,000. JC resigned after GE19 Coup by Tories.

After T May signed the 'Enabler Act', same act signed by many dictators, and now the GE19 Coup by Tories which gave them a huge majority. Now the full power is in their hands and they use it.

FREE SPEECH - FREE PRESS is the most the important and a fundamental ingredients of democracy.

Does the Tory Government fear the truth so much that ex-PM David Cameron and now the new PM May feel they have to gag the press? If so, then the Government is a very sorry affair of lies and deceit and should be made to resign.

Even Senior MPs are against the ruling and asked the Daily Express’ readers to back their crusade to defend press freedom. The Daily Express printed a coupon in its paper to sign and send it to

Dept for Culture, Media and Sport, 4th Floor, 100 Parliament St, London SW1A 2BQ

or write directly there.

It is necessary because as ministers are considering whether to move ahead with the draconian new rule.

Under the Section 40 of the 2013 Crime and Court Act, newspapers could be hit with huge bills for legal costs, even if they win libel cases. The alternative to that is to sign the new state-backed watchdog called Impress. It is financed by Formula 1 boss Max Mosley, son of Oswald Mosley, British Nazi movement.

Every newspaper is boycotting Impress, the suspicion is that it will introduce state regulations of the press. The newspapers have joined the Independent Press Standards Organisation instead.

Already three of the board members of Impress planning a campaign to starve the Daily Express and other newspapers of advertisement revenue. Never short of dirty trick.

Could Murdoch be behind it all this gagging of the press? Surely, they would not dare to gag The Sun, Telegraph or Mail or starve them of advertisement revenue.
