FREEDOM OF THE PRESS IS DEMOCRACY

The Labour Party promised, if they get elected, to stop the gagging order on the press.  Well this is certainly a reason for voting Labour. They also nationalise the Railways again as and when the contracts expires.

UPDATE:  The non-elected House of Lords, mostly  Conservatives, had passed the bill to gagged the press. This is indeed a very sad day in British history to wipe out the Freedom of the press. The only hope now remains that if the Labour Party wins the next year's general election that they would cancel the gagging order and re-establish the Freedom of the Press which includes the Freedom of Speech and re-establish DEMOCRACY.

Congratulation to the three party leaders to bury a 300 year old freedom of the British press. Surprisingly that Mr Miliband agreed to it.  A Labour leader should have objected most of all since he is the opposition leader of his party.  It is amazing the speed the Conservatives managed to get the bill through when they want it to be done.  The situation was the same with the Royal Mail but the EU Referendum was dragged out until it was too late to be effective. Brussels must be laughing their heads off.

The real root of the problem which escalated into this scenario the press was discovering too many dirty deals and fiddles on the top.   Even so David Cameron keeps promising, yet again, and repeatedly proclaims like a conquering hero ‘transparency’ he seems to do right the opposite. Cutting the freedom of the press proves it that he does not mean what he said.

The biggest disgrace is the way he and his disciples done it. He used the Privy Council which does not need to go through Parliament and had is signed behind closed door.  The Privy Council was set up by Kings at the beginning of the British monarchy to get their law established without Parliament.   Is the Queen really so powerless that she can’t object to sign it or was she also in agreement?

The press are doing a great job by revealing dirty deals, fiddles and recently expenditure fiddles by minister. It is this fact columnists believe brought the wrath down on the press.  The newspapers also running many campaigns to make this country better but apparently it is not to the liking of the Coalition. To cut the Freedom of the Press borders on dictatorship therefore Britain has no right to shout about democracy and point fingers to countries which have no free press or speech.  David Cameron had done now the same.

There was no need for cutting the freedom of the press. There are many laws against printing wrong articles such as libel cases which many journalists already had to face over the years.  The British Press was respected and the envy of the world.  Again this Government shuttered that.

David Cameron should not point the finger because when the phone hacking scandal broke and his friend Mr Coulson was sacked from the newspaper Mr Cameron employed him as a Communication Secretary.  It is incredible to employ a man which was involved in the phone hacking scandal and put him especially in such a position. Only when the public put pressure on Cameron and then it took a long time Mr Coulson was sacked. The judgement David Cameron and his principles are very questionable.  Therefore for him to strut about and demand to control the Freedom of Press will not only be by the press but the general public contempt.

David Cameron has 97 spin doctors all paid by the taxpayers but the results of his actions are anything to be admired.  He privatised the Royal Mail another 500 year old institution and again in high speed even at a low price so the fat cats had straight away million of pounds in their pockets. The general public were only allowed to buy shares of around £750 per person while Chancellor George Osborne’s friend received £50million worth of share and so did the other hedge funds.

Now he destroyed the freedom of the press and also dismantled the National Health Service by bringing contractors which most of them created already scandals either by fiddling the data or are impossible to cope with the workload because the contractors try to run it on a skeleton staff to increase the profit.

All this is unacceptable to the general public but David Cameron ploughs on.   How this man and his friends can call themselves British and David Cameron stating he is proud of it is any ones guess?  Especially he is the Prime Minister and yet dismantles Britain bit by bit. All what Britain stood for and admired throughout the world he destroys which does not show a National pride but greed and devious dealings.
