INDEPENDENT LIVING FUND (NOW PIP) FOR SEVERELY DISABLED CANCELLED Updated 11 April, 2017

Update 11 April, 2017 -- From the 1 April PM May cut the PIP so drastically that 900 care workers are leaving every day. What will become of the severely disable people, disabled and elderly who were all cared for is not known. It is the most ruthless cut any Tory Government done.

Now called Personal Independence Payments

£500million for one mission bombing Syria is available which nobody wants but £320million per year for ILF for 18,000 the most disabled people is cut.  What kind of Government and PM are these people? The moment people elected them; to represent them; they turned their back on them.

THE CARERS TRIED TO GET IN
TO STAT THEIR CASE --
 THE  DISABLED PEOPLE,
 IN THEIR WHEELCHAIRS,
WERE OUT ON THE PAVEMENT
The Independent Living Fund for severely disabled people and their attendance will end on 30June, 2015.

This is another kick in the teeth for disabled people and this time even severely disabled. Trying to soften the blow they transfer it to the councils to be handed out.

The ILF helps severely disabled people to be able to live on their own. It also funds personal assistance and carers up to 24-hours a day, with bathing, making meals and turning people in their beds at night.

How on earth do Tories think councils will be able to pay for the full mount when there is another budget cut coming their way? Council had already to cut several services as it is because of the previous cuts on their budgets.

Now they face the next step of the Tories to £16billion on Public services. On a budget already cut to the bone it will be devastating.

Like at the end of Thatcher era the country was grinding almost to a stand-still. Many shops were closed in the High Street, streets and parks were not cleaned and five million unemployed. Council estates and houses were not maintained.

The courts ruled that cancelling ILF was unlawful but then they went to the High Court and they agreed with the Tories to cancel it.

Today at Prime Minister’s Question Time there were protesters outside the Parliament wanted to go in to state their case and quite a number in wheelchairs. The moment the officials realised they trying to protest the doors were closed.

The disable people, families  and carers are worried if the money is less, they would get less care, having to sit and wait to be bathed, or changed or for their meal.

They might also be forced to move into a care home and with the scandal surrounding them it is not something to look forward to.

The ILF provided support for 18,000 people and costs £320million which was necessary for the life of severely disable people. It is incredible that David Cameron above all people, can cut £320million when Whitehall waste endless millions of pounds.

650 MPs getting, for the second time, a rise of 10 per cent The estimated sum of £50billion but will be twice as much for the super train H2S at the end, is available. Millions of pounds are available to be spent on war which nobody wants.

Dept. of  Work and Pension (DWP) said: “While opponents of these reforms scaremonger about support being withdrawn, in reality this is simply a debate about how support should be funded.”  It is not a debate when the deadline is 30 June, 2015. Who are you kidding? Are they kidding themselves that the public will buy it?

A spokesman said: “More than £260million will be made available to for ILF user in 2015/16 and local authorities and devolved administration will be fully founded to insure severely disabled people get the targeted support they need to live undependable.”

It already shows a reduction from £320million to £260million which will have an impact on the service. The Tories are known for promises not kept therefore will it be £260million or even less?

As usually Tories trying to pull wool over the public eyes, especially the severely disable people and their attendance.

David Cameron, Chancellor George Osborne and Ian Duncan Smith, head of DWP, ought to be ashamed to cut already £60million off from severely disable people’ services, it is a disgrace for the UK Government

David Cameron experienced the struggle at first hand, or did it not register, although there was all the money available to ease their suffering but it still was a daily struggle.

But to add to the severely disabled people’ suffering by cutting their funding is unforgivable.
