EVIDENCE OF AUSTERITY

SUMMARY   It is revealed that Austerity was unnecessary after Johnson was spending £500bln in one year during Covid on untendered contracts for Track/Trace and PPE/Ventilators to his friends which wasn't done! Austerity should be cancelled now!

Hopeful Johnson will be intervene and rescue the Pension Fund of Arcadia Group this time.

After an already longest list of small and big chain-stores either already bankrupt or cutting drastically their branches the latest is now the Arcadia Group owned by Sir Philip Green. Green already drove BHS into closure with the Pension Fund of estimated £500mln missing. somehow its no surprise that Arcadia Group is heading for Bankruptcy. Will the Pension Fund be paid out to 15,000 staff losing their job?

Johnson and his Tory Government did not issue a Quarter Report on Economy at the end of September. The previous report showed a deficit and no need to guess it will show another one; maybe even bigger. They also did not do an Autumn Budget.

Experts and the Public are not easily fooled although Johnson tries his best.

It is so obvious when you walk down the High Street. Rows of boarded up small shops and big Stores with sale signs for closing down and big price reduction in red across their windows.

Johnson and his Government achieved finally an economic disaster because of Austerity and the newly established Universal Credit. People are at their rock bottom or beyond and cannot afford to buy anything. They even have to make a choice between to buy food or pay for heating. Streets are littered with rough sleepers and all that in a country to be the fifth richest in the world.

Apart from big companies left the country or even being sold by this Government; big Store Chains are now in trouble and have to either close down a great number of stores or go bankrupt. Amongst them are very well known and old names which had been around for centuries.

Here is a list of some of the 1,243 Stores in 500 Top High Street which will close down in 2020:

Plus TATA - British Steel announced cuts 1,000 jobs

Plus NPower - energy provider - cuts 4,500 jobs

Mothercare gone into administration - 79 stores - 2,500 job loss

Debenham – 4,000 Job loss

Marks and Spencer – 959 stores close

Toys R Us

Topshop – 500 Stores close

New Look - 90 Stores close

Poundworld

Maplin - 2,500 job loss

House of Frazer

Evans Cycles

Sainsbury, Argos, Asda – 125 stores close

Morrison – 2,600 job loss

Miss Selfridges –

Next – 200 stores close

Lingerie Outlet St – including DKNY, Vanity Fair, stopped trading

Yorkshire Linen

Karen Millen – bankrupt - plus further 18 stores

Select – 1,800 job loss

Thomas Cook went into administration but saved by Hays Travel

Abermarle + Bond – 400 staff and 100 branches close

Foot Locker – close 1100 stores in UK

Bennetts – largest Dept Store in the World struggling to survive but closed shops

tRed in administration since 2017 saved by shutting down some branches

HARRY AMIES on Saville Row – closed down

Office Outlet – 1,200 job loss

J Jill – closes 75 stores

It is no surprise that the economy finally grinds to a standstill after 9 years of Tory Government constant cut down in Welfare, Councils, Civil Service, Universal Credit and rising prices in energy tariffs, food and clothing.

It is a surprise it lasted so long and did not crush any earlier.

Now, Johnson heading for GE19 and promises anything and everything, but it is too late. The economy is at its final.

Car industry, which is always the backbone of the Economy, announced that they would go ahead with re-location which means another great loss of jobs.

Johnson is now determined to sign a TTIP and sale of NHS with Trump which means UK get colonised and NHS privatised all for the benefit of Johnson, his gang and Trump.

Hopefully, he wont be able to achieve it before his, hopefully, non-re-election on 12 December, 2019

BRITAIN OLDEST NURSE REMEMBERS

Aileen Coomber, 81, was 11 years when the NHS was established. She still has scares on her knees where she fell but her mother could not afford to take her to the doctor. Her younger sister had pneumonia and her mother had to nurse her through it because they didn’t have the money to pay for treatment.

This is not an isolated case but how it was generally and make no mistake it will be like that again. Already it was heralded that a doctor’s appointment could cost £20 or £40 or £60 all depending on the age, time to diagnose and then they will take their time.
Many make the mistake and thinking of safeguarding themselves with private insurance, but they want to make a sky-high profit and charge accordingly. Then it will be the case if you have enough money in the account for the treatment or not which is decisive whether to get the treatment now or having to wait till the money builds up.

Aileen had a 66-year career as a mental health nurse and fears now that Tories’ privatisation putting her beloved NHS in danger and it will the more privatisation is added. It must break Aileen’s heart to see it go and so will be all.

These corporations are not interesting in building a long-term NHS; they are only after profit the bigger the better. A few have already pulled out of their contracts because the big profit was not there. Even Branson was complaining but he is a different kettle of fish. He receives bail-outs like in his railways.

Branson also has the despicable nerve to sue NHS for £2bn because he didn’t get some contracts. To sue the NHS which is in such financial trouble takes a very ruthless, uncaring person. Already people dying at home because ambulances are not available because they are stuck outside hospitals because there is no place in corridors being filled with patience on trolleys because there are no more beds available.

Recently, a 46 year old nurse was having a heart attack and lying on a trolley in the corridor waiting for a doctor. The relative asked whether they could have a doctor urgently because of the seriousness of her medical condition. They were told that there is a queue of 40 urgent cases and they couldn’t possibly asked to jump the queue. As a result, she died before a doctor could attend to her.

Every day the newspapers are writing about such tragedies to high-light the urgency for more funding but to no avail. Nurses are so badly paid that they even have to go to food banks, yet they are so dedicated they are even treat people in the carpark to eliminate the pressure. Some nurses and doctors add unpaid hours to help patients.

Branson certainly shows what character he is to sue NHS which is facing such a critical situation where people dying on trolleys, which has never happened before. May will not bend to Jeremy Corbyn’s demand for more funding. Yet, she does not hesitate to give bankrupt Carillion another £100m which does nothing, but money wasted. It would have been a lifesaver for the NHS.

There are now reports that the NHS is to be sold to the USA. Especially the USA which has been known for decades for their diabolical health care.  Jeremy Hunt, who brought the NHS down to this state and still denies it, was already in NY in talk with Trump. Over 60,000 people demonstrated in London, but will it have an impact on May and the Tories to change their minds? The only real hope people have is on 22 May, 2018 the council election. If Labour wins a greater majority of seats, it would cut May’s power. At the moment, May acts like a dictator and is determined to destroy NHS and the Welfare State at all cost.

Therefore, think about it that the cross you put on your election paper has never been a bigger impact on life and death. It is no exaggeration as you can see people already dying unnecessary and if the Tories win it will the end of NHS as we know it. The same goes for the Welfare State.

THATCHER PLAN TO DEMOLISH WELFARE STATE

Well her wish will come true now !!!!   Tories out !!!!!

PM May "Equal Society" will finalize Thatcher's will.

What a disgusting woman!!!!

Thatcher's policies are
followed on in today's Tory Government which is even more disgusting

Ever so often files are released which were under the Official Secret Act. On Friday, amongst the papers, a file was revealed that Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher planned secretly to axe the welfare state.

This revelation must have been the biggest shock to the nation.

Amongst the proposal, drawn up by Whitehall the Central Policy Review Staff, was scrapping free NHS, although it is not free because People pay National Insurance, charging for education and ending the annual increase of benefits in line with inflation and cutting defence.

Chancellor Sir Geoffrey Howe commissioned the report and proposed the plan at a specially convened meeting of the Cabinet on 9 September, 1982.

Apparently, it even caused an uproar amongst her faithfuls. Nigel Lawson, Energy Secretary, recalled in his memoires "it was the nearest thing to a Cabinet riot."

It was leaked to The Economic and it started a public outcry.

At the following Conservative party conference in Brighton Margaret Thatcher was forced to declare "NHS is safe in our hands."This very phrase was also used by her glove puppet David Cameron time and again.

Apparently, every time he used it; he demolished the NHS more by withdrawing fund for a number of his newly funded  'flagship' schemes which never came to anything. All meant to weaken financially the NHS. He also introduce hundreds of contracts to infiltrate the NHS. Contractors, as it is well known, have only one thing in mind - profit for themselves and the shareholders.

Well, Thatcher's boy Cameron started to make her dreams become reality because it also was revealed that she never gave up on the idea, despite great opposition.

It also shows us how much the principles of the Tory's Cabinet deteriorated. As stated it nearly caused a riot but today Cameron's and May's Cabinet just agree with the dismantling of the Welfare State without a whisper of disagreement.

Since David Cameron started the waggon rolling of dismantling the NHS and Welfare and in an increasingly, frightening speed the present PM May is now determined to put the last nail into the coffin.

Richard Branson, known for his  badly run railway service, was allowed to buy 200 contracts in the NHS.

In 2010 when David Cameron, leader of the Tory Party, campaigned for the General Election he too promised "NHS is safe in our hands."

The moment he won the election, he sacked 5,000 nurses and doctors and they were replaced with agency staff which cost three times as much.  A plan to weaken the finance of the already hard-up NHS even further. Another dirty trick.

He also promised to invest £8bn into the NHS and won the election but obviously it was not done. He introduced austerity, closed numerous libraries, local Post Office in rural areas where people really depend on; children's nurseries even his mother openly repelled against it; sold the Royal Mail a 500 year old institution; axed 5,000 police at the time of  crime at its highest; axed Army, RAF, Navy personal by the thousands and still increased the National Debts by over £600bn.

By now the National Debt stands near £2trillion and with all the Tories savings. What is really going on? It is incredible and impossible.

BRITISH MEDICAL ASSOCIATION CONDEMNS JEREMY HUNT -- Update: 29 April, 2016

DR MARK PORTER BMA
UPDATE 29 April, 2016 --
Junior Doctors are on strike at the moment because the Government will not pay the extra which is due to Saturday and Sunday work.

I wish them Good Luck and Success in winning the strike.

UPDATE:  19 July, 2015  --
After all his talk at the conference Dr Porter now agrees with Mr Cameron to introduce the 7-day roster.  This is a shocking revelation of a turn-around.

British Medical Association (BMA) chief executive Dr Mark Porter condemns Jeremy Hunt’s old, repacked pledges in a keynote speech which do not answer the big question.

The Tories trying to kid British people into believing the unrealistic promise of a 7-day NHS.

Dr Porter said: “Tories have been full of easy headlines and lazy caricatures but refuse to provide the detailed documents needed.”

David Cameron pledge of a 7-day service and Jeremy Hunt, Health Secretary, promised 5,000 doctors to fill in the shortage.

While they promise and pledge the public has not forgotten the axing of thousands of doctors and nurses in 2012. Tories seem to do a roller-coaster politics which cost twice as much with axing, pay redundancy, re-employ who needs to be trained and for three years hiring agency staff for three times as much.

The nurses union pointed out that Tories immigration policy is planning to boot out 30,000 nurses who do not live here.

At the annual BMA meeting in Liverpool Dr Porter pointed out that doctors already work a 7-day a week and David Cameron’ plans do not add up.

He demanded: “Show us the details of what you mean; Show us how the country will pay for it; Show us something real, because all we have seen so far is the pursuit of easy headlines.

“This government says we can just move a few shifts around. But what about the weekend surgeries, clinics and wards left without doctors where that’s done? We do not hear about that.

“Last Friday, we were told once again the GP surgeries will open 7-day a week, 12 hours a day. They talk about GPs doing ever more, who thousands already work in out-of-hours service, propping up the NHS.

“The Government is trumpeting its new deal.

“Who are you kidding? The proposal is neither new nor a deal, but old repacked ideas distracting from the central issue.

“We were promised 5,000 GPs by 2020.

“How will the new GPs be ready to work in five years time when it takes 10 years to train a GP?  They don’t say.

“How are they even going to recruit more GP trainees when hundreds of existing training posts are still unfilled? They don’t say.

“When will they provide substance on theories and recycled ideas, to focus the details of how they will support GPs already burnt out from overwork, in a service when more than 10,000 GPs are predicted to leave in the next five years?  They don’t say."

BMA estimated 30 per cent of doctors have suffered from ‘burn out’ and another 41 per cent fear they will suffer a ‘burn out’ in the near future.

Dr Porter stated further: “That the problem will only get worse because Tories haven’t gone real with the single greatest threat our patients face – a need for £30billion more in the NHS, not the £8billion promised”

He added: “We have a government run from cloud nine not from number 10.

“The crisis is real, but the solution shows little grasp of reality.”

CHANCELLOR GEORGE OSBORNE LAST 25 of 50 CUTS

The question:  Where did the money go from all those cuts and sales ?

The Tories still ended up with an addition £500billion debts.

Here are the last 25 cuts the great Chancellor George Osborne done including the most vulnerable, especially the disabled people. Oscar Bennett of the Daily Mirror puts the list of the 50 cuts together. You will find them in two section -- part one and part two.

It is really important to think about which party you cast your vote to. It is not meant a hateful propaganda but the Tories already promise more cuts of £70million for the next five years.  It would be on top of the previous cuts and it would mean a complete devastation for the British country and its people.

The past five years of the Tory-led Coalition Government have been marked by austerity policies which have harmed some of the most vulnerable in society.
Disabled people, single parents, and those struggling to find work have all faced cuts to vital benefits, but these groups are by no means the only ones to have been victims of George Osborne’s policies.

26) ‘Youth’ Employment and Support Allowance: According to the TUC, this allowed people disabled in childhood to qualify for contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance without having paid National Insurance Contributions. The government impact assessment indicated that 7-8,000 disabled people, a majority with mental and behavioural impairments, would lose some or all of their benefit.

27) Education: 52% cut in capital spending for education across the UK between 2009/10 and 2013/14

28) Nurses: According to figures released in August 2013 there were 7,000 fewer qualified nurses than in May 2010, excluding health visitors, school nurses and midwives.

29) Flood defences: In November 2014 the National Audit Office revealed spending on maintenance of flood defences has fallen by six per cent in real times since 2010, with overall funding down by 10 per cent in real terms once one-off emergency funding was taken out of the mix.

30) Passport office: According to Labour, there were 4,017 workers in passports office in 2009/10. By last year, there were just 3,444. The Tories denied this reduction was the cause of last year’s passport renewing backlog.

31) Prison officers: Figures published last October showed the number of officers at public-sector prisons in England and Wales had been cut by 41 per cent in less than four year. This included 1,375 posts axed when 15 public-sector prisons were closed during the period. Some £900million has been slashed from the prison’s budget since 2010

32) Libraries: Funding reductions to local government has seen pressures on libraries. There are currently 4,145 libraries in the UK, down from 4,482 in 2009/10, according to Public Libraries News

33) Arts Council: In 2010 Arts Council England saw its budget cut by 29.6%.

34) Public Sector Pay: George Osborne froze public sector pay in real terms back in 2010. Since then they have been promised just a one per cent rise from the Spring.

35) Royal Mail: the sell-off of the Royal Mail counts as cut as the Government woefully mismanaged its privatisation, costing the taxpayer £180million.

36) Mental health: 3,300 fewer posts in mental health nursing since 2010, according to the Royal College of Nursing.

37) Mental Health: 1,500 fewer beds for mental health patients than in 2010, according to a Community Care and BBC News investigation.

38) Infrastructure: Money spent on schools, hospitals, roads and energy projects has fallen by at least £15billion since 2010

39) Universities: By 2013, funding for universities had been cut by more than £800m. The Government increased the cap on how much universities can charge for tuition fees from £3,290 a year to £9,000 in 2010.

40) Tribunals: The Justice Department cut funding for employment tribunals in 2013. The changes meant workers who wanted to lodge claims against their employers could now face costs of up to £1,200. On Monday, more than 400 barristers wrote to Justice Secretary Chris Grayling calling the fees a “barrier to justice”. Since their introduction, tribunal cases have dropped by 60 per cent, they barristers said.

41) Access to Work: This scheme helps those with disabilities, illness or mental health issues into employment. It pays for the cost of specialist equipment, support workers or fares to work if someone is unable to use public transport. But from October this year, workers will not be able to claim support worth more than one and a half times the national average salary, currently £40,800-a-year. It will save the Government just £3million, and campaign group Disability UK described the change as “short-sighted”.

42) Careers advice: Connexions, the government-funded careers advice programme, was axed in 2012. It is now down to schools to provide their own careers’ advice to pupils. An Education Select Committee report published in 2013 said: “The Government's decision to transfer responsibility for careers guidance to schools is regrettable. We have concerns about the consistency, quality, independence and impartiality of careers guidance now being offered to young people.”

43) Social Care: Since 2010, £3.5billion has been taken out of adult social care budgets. Age UK said this winter’s A&E crisis was caused by funding cuts for social care by local authorities. Research by the charity showed the numbers getting help had fallen from just over one million three years ago to 850,000 last year.

44) Foreign Office: The Foreign Office budget has fallen 30 per cent since 2009-10 – from £2.4bn to £1.7bn in 2013-14 prices. Since 2010, three embassies have suspended operations and 13 consulates or consular offices have been closed.

45) Housing: Local councils reduced expenditure on housing by 7.8 per cent in the last financial year alone.

46) Tax inspectors: HM Revenue and Customs will close 14 offices by December 2015, while 690 admin staff have been offered voluntary redundancy.

47) Teachers: Sixth form colleges this month warned students would see their direct tuition time from teachers cut from 18 hours to 15 a week.

48) NHS Direct: Axed by the coalition in 2010, it’s replacement - NHS 111 - was seen to add to this winter’s A&E crisis. Dr Clifford Mann, President of the College of Emergency Medicine, said in December 2014 that those who called 111 were too often referred by operators to A&E units or to an ambulance service.

49) JobCentre Plus: In 2013 the Department for Work and Pensions cut the Jobcentre Plus budget by 25 per cent, leading to 9,300 jobs being axed.

50) Harrier Jump Jets: All 74 planes were permanently grounded following a defence review in 2010, and then sold off to the Americans in 2011.

FEAR LOSING NHS BRITISH IDENTITY WITH TTIP -- Updated 27 Oct., 2019

AMERICANS ARE KNOWN
FOR BEINGSTEEL-HARD
AND COLD-HEARTED
SALESMEN.  YET DODGY
DAVE CAMERON
 FOLLOWS THEM AS LONG
AS HE GETS HIS REWARD.
 JUST LIKE TONY BLAIR
 ANOTHER CHARACTERLESS
CREATURE.

THE ONLY ONE WHO SAID "NO"
 TO THE USA WAS LABOUR
PM HAROLD WILSON AVOIDING
A TERRIBLE  INVOLVEMENT
IN THE VIETNAM WAR

New fear has risen because the great PM

David Cameron held a secret meeting
Thursday, 18th December, 2014 in Brussels
with bosses of international corporations
from private health industry. The very
secrecy of a summit with people
from private health industry tells us
everything despite of Downing Street
denial again that is would not affect
the NHS but admitted it is a mega-deal.
Update 27 Oct., 2019 -
The thread of an TTIP is still there; PM Johnson and Trump are still eager to sign TTIP
Johnson stated  NHS is off the table but he changed his mind too many times to be trusted. Trump is determined to sign TTIP and  NHS.

Update 23 Jan., 2017 -
President Donald Trump torn up the TTIP

UPDATE: 30 MAY, 2015 --  A vote was taken behind closed doors of which the public will not get information, yet it is the most life changing decision for the people if they decide to agree on the TTIP

UPDATE:  1  March, 2015  --  Accordingly to a report the NHS had not been taken out of the TTIP. Therefore, if the TTIP will be signed the NHS will be irreversibly private.

The acceptance of TTIP will not even put to the vote of the MPs least to the public yet it will be a complete sell out of sovereignty and NHS and Welfare State.

That is total dictatorship. The same people wants to introduce democracy in other countries.  They are nothing but hypocritical.

The very fact that this summit with people connected to private health industry, is held behind closed door in other words we will not be told anything, Downing Street denying frantically it will affect the NHS and yet admit it is a mega deal, tells everything.

Even a top Tory admitted that the NHS will be at the mercy of predatory US healthcare firms.  Trade Minister Lord Livingston openly stated that it will not be necessary to exempt the NHS from the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership agreement which again tells everything. David Cameron will not rest until the NHS is destroyed and he and his friends will have another ‘great deal’ made out of the sell-out.

Labour MP Graham Morris, who sits on the Commons health committee warned: “This is a sinister trade deal. If it goes through without any changes, it will make the privatisation of services like the NHS irreversible.”

Even Margaret Thatcher did not dare to destroy the Royal Mail, gagged the Press and now the NHS but David Cameron is going a step further and put the last nail into the coffin of the once great and proud country of Britain.

The Government stated that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partneship (TTIP) agreement will be worth £100billion to the EU and £80billion to the US.  They did not mention how much it would be to them or Britain. However, the TTIP has too many dangerous clauses in it and once signed binding forever.  Britain and the EU would be a colony of America. That was the real reason, all the time, about getting the United Europe, military and financially wise, nothing whatsoever about the benefit for the people.

The very clause that companies could sue Britain if any Government decides to nationalise an industry again.  This is pure dictatorship.

Lord Livingston grandiosely announced that there is no need to exclude the NHS because it will not be impacted. Who is he kidding?  Of course, he will be all right with his big income and private insurance and so is the rest of the Elite.  It is the average person who will not be able to afford the private insurance and therefore not be treated just like in America. Once the private insurances get the green light the contribution will be shooting up like anything and the shares in the pockets of the Elite will increase and bring multiple dividends. This is the real reason behind the sell-off of the NHS.  We have to ask again: “Who is he kidding?”

All this wheeling and dealing which is nothing but Tory’s way behind closed door is against democracy.  As Unite union chief Len McCluskey blasted: “The people of this country didn't vote for selling off our NHS and they did not vote to make the sell-off irreversible by giving US companies the right to sue us in secret courts.”

IT IS NOTHING BUT PURE DICTATORSHIP.

LABOUR MANIFESTO -- UPDATED: 17 June, 2015

First, I will undo the damage the Tories have done to our country:
  • I will scrap the Bedroom Tax, which unfairly punishes the disabled and the vulnerable
  • I will scrap the Health and Social Care Act, which damages and undermines our NHS
  • I will scrap the gagging law, which limits our freedom of speech and right to campaign
  • I will reverse the Tories' £3bn tax cut for millionaires, so we get the deficit down but do it fairly
Second, I will take on the powerful vested interests that hold millions back:
  • I will force energy companies to freeze gas and electricity bills until 2017
  • I will give power back to those who rent their homes, by scrapping letting fees and stabilising tenancy agreements
  • I will raise money from tobacco companies, tax avoiders, and a mansion tax to fund doctors, nurses, careworkers and midwives for our NHS
  • I will reform our banks so that they properly support small businesses
  • I will stop recruitment agencies hiring only from abroad
Third, I will start to rebuild a fairer, better Britain:
  • I will raise the minimum wage, to ensure that everyone that does a hard day's work is properly rewarded
  • I will promote the living wage by giving tax breaks to companies that pay it
  • I will ban the damaging zero-hours contracts that exploit British workers
  • I will bring in a lower 10p income tax rate, cutting taxes for 24 million workers
  • I will support working parents with 25 hours of free childcare for three- and four-year-olds
  • I will help more young people get on the housing ladder by getting 200,000 homes built every year
I want to know — is this the kind of Britain you want to see?
Tell me now which of my three promises is most important to you

NHS A GIFT TO THE NATION NOT TO ELITES -- Update 2 Oct., 2019

NHS BELONGS TO THE NATION - IT IS PAID BY THE PEOPLE - SO HANDS OFF IT, TORIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update 2 Oct., 2019 - With no-deal-Brexit looming on 31 Oct., 2019 and CONservative Boris Johnson PM determined to finalise it there is a great danger of Trump getting his hands on NHS. Corbyn, Labour Leader tries hard to prevent it. Will that really be the end of a wonderful service and the envy of the World? It will be like America, if you cant afford Private Insurance, you wont be treated. Privat Insurance will increase when the NHS is in USA hands and the fatcats will profit while people have to die because they cant afford Private Insurance.

Having a full picture of what happens in America in front of them and still going ahead to sell NHS is criminal.

Update 6 Nov., 2016 -- Although most of them are gone, apart from Jeremy Hunt, Health Secretary, nothing has changed. To be sure those have gone still have their devastating influence. The Tory Government is bent over backwards to privatise the NHS. Unless the Labour is coming into power soon the NHS is doomed.

In my opinion it is surprising the NHS still exists with all those fingers in the pie.  Over 200 contractors and a great number of "flagships" introduced, financed by money from the NHS, and most of them are either not working or very badly run.  Is there a method in the madness?

THESE ARE THE  TOP OF THE 71 TORY MPs
WHO BENEFITED FROM DONATIONS  FROM HEALTH CARE COMPANIES

IS IT NOT CALLED CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND IF SO FORBIDDEN?

UPDATE: 20 December, 2014 --  The Tories did not give up because PM David Cameron had a secret meeting in Brussels with international corporation connected to the private health industry. That tells us all. He cut short the meeting in Northern Ireland toward peace but was able to attend his wife's 40th birthday, although she is now 43.

UPDATE: 27 November, 2014 -- The MPs voted overwhelming against the bill. Most of the Tory's MPs did sustain. The bill has to go through several stages before it is declared unacceptable. It is surprising that the Tories gave up so easily. Are there plans already to put it through with high speed like the sale of the Royal Mail and the agreement to bomb the IS? Something is up so look out.

THE PEOPLE AND THEIR MPs DID NOT AGREE TO ANY OF THIS BUT IT IS THE PEOPLE WHO WILL SUFFER !!!!!!!

The Tories have no rights to touch the National Health Service (NHS) because it was given to the  Nation by Labour PM Clement Attlee in 1948 as a thank you for the sacrifices the people made during the Second World War.  At least one Prime Minister appreciated what people went through and gave them the best they could have had.

Margaret Thatcher already started to ruin the funds by putting them on the stock market. Any one knows that stock markets can go one way or the others and she knew it too.  Those clever City Boys also know how to invest into good or bad projects which means a win or lose billion of pounds, where it will never be revealed.  The same as with the pension fund. She had no right to touch because it was the people’s money.

Now UKIP Farage mention a few months ago he would introduce the American system of health care in other words if you can afford an insurance then well and good; if you do not people get turned away even if they are gushing with blood. The main point is did Farage let the cat out of the bag too early because there is no doubt the UKIP and Tories are working together even if UKIP pretends  it is an alternative party.  This picture will be painted till the General Election in May 2015 and when the Tories have a minority the UKIP will be there like a shot and then they have huge majority.

Recently Farage has changed his mind and is backing the NHS. This does not give a message either of a steady leader and party.  It could just as well be, when he wins in the General Election he changes his mind again.

Voters take care who you give your vote to.

Today in the national press is a report of 71 Tory MPs and most of them all top people in the Government, who have been sponsored by people of health firms. The controversial Health and Social Care Act in 2012 has opened the door to private firms. Already over 200 contractors are plucking away on the NHS and therefore it is no surprise that the NHS is in financial trouble.  Then the Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Nick Clegg, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt and previous Health Secretary Andrew Lansley have a bright ideas of introducing new flagships and funding are taken out of the NHS budget.

Most of these new flagships, if not all, sink within a few months like the Armada. The question is what happens to the millions or billions of pounds lost from the budget? Has it been put back? Your guess is as good as mine.

On Friday, 21 November, 2014, the House of Commons will vote on whether to scrap main section of the controversial Health and Social Act.  If the vote goes against the Government’s plan to privatise the NHS irreversible it will also be kept out of another infamous international Trade Trans Atlantic contract which would seal the faith of the NHS forever.

The very fact of the 71 Tory and LibDem MPs shows the widespread corruption in the Government. It is sickening to think that people in high places can disregard the conflict of interest and breaking the NHS which is in everybody’s heart.

It is the nation greatest institution and they just trample right across it for their own profit.

NEW CT SCANNERS COPE WITH OBESE PATIENTS

In spite of all the warning from doctors and experts but obesity is rising whatever the reason. The call of hospitals having to buy new scanner to cope with obese patients is on the increase.  The new CT scanner has almost five times the X-ray power of normal machines.  It has the power of 240KW as to previous machines of 50KW. It is necessary for doctors to receive a good image.

The maximum weight it can cope with had increased from 160kg to 300kg. The board has changed from 70cm to 80cm.  The machine has also to improve its lightening speed   because obese patients can not hold their breath as long as other patients.  The cost of one of this new machine is £1million each.

Russell Lodge, business manger at Siemens Healthcare providing these machines to the NHS said: “The number of bariatric (obese) patients referred for CT scans has more than doubled in 125 years and is predicted to go on rising.”

Statistics show that over 64 per cent of adults in England are overweight. Apparently the North East has the highest admission to hospitals for obesity. One reason for the highest obesity located in the North-East is high unemployment which is purely the fault of this Tory-led Coalition and Margaret Thatcher who closed down mines and shipbuilding industry.  Naturally unemployed people sit about more and eat more.   The treatment for over weight problems costs the NHS £5.1billions a year. If this money would have been invested into industry in the North East is would have produced taxes instead of unemployment benefits.
What kind of Chancellor is George Osborn who cost the economy £240billion with his stupid austerity.

Tam Fry, National Obesity Forum, said: “The rapidly expanding size of CT scanners is shocking but sadly, not surprising. As a society, we have allowed people to get fatter and fatter. This is not about blaming individual patients, because every one’s circumstances are different. But it is absolutely tragic that as a nation we are becoming so fat we have to redesign medical equipment.”

Due to the increase obese patients the hospitals also had widen the corridors and larger doors fitted.
Generally CT scans use X-rays and computer to produce a detailed image of your body. The images called tomograms are more detailed. The produced images of the inside of your body are used to diagnose cancer, bone conditions, heart conditions and injuries to organs.

The first commercial CT scanner was invented by Sir Godfrey Woodsfield in London.  It produced the first brain scan in the world in October 1971.
