Another broken promise
UPDATE 28 Jan., 2018 Now we have the highest deficit since the war and debts increased to £214,8trillion despite austerity, cuts to Welfare, NHS, schools.
UPDATE: 20 September, 2015
Report on the Economy for the first three months of 2015 shows a slam from predicted 0.6 per cent to 0.3 per cent GDP.
Ever since the Tory won the election in May 2015 the FTSE shows a minus most of the days. Admittedly there was the Greek crises and then the Chinese financial market experienced a great drop but if it happened during a Labour Government the Tory would blame Labour forever more like they done with the "Credit Crunch". At least Labour brought back the drop of minus 2.9 GDP to 0.6 within a year and ended in 2010 with 1 per GDP.
This Government Department was suppose to control and cut down wastage in Whitehall. The result of this great economical drive ended in spending £54million on consultants and agency staff.

This Government Department was suppose to control and cut down wastage in Whitehall. The result of this great economical drive ended in spending £54million on consultants and agency staff.
This Tory-led government seems to have an epidemic of
employing consultants, contractors, sacking staff and then employing agency
staff which cost twice as much.
The amount contractors employed and flourish on the expense
of taxpayers’ money and delivered shoddy work it unbelievable. By now there is
a great list of contracts which simple had not worked where a great deal of
money was wasted.
Official figures revealed Cabinet Office spending on
consultants increased by a horrific percentage of 363 per cent. The increase in
money was from 2013 to 2014 from £5million to nearly £24million.
This is only the beginning to make your mind boggle. After the department spent £33million on redundancy
during four years in office, it now spent in the last year £30million on agency
and temporary staff. Does PM David Cameron
have friends running agencies and consultancies too?
The figures were revealed by the BBS2 Newsnight which found
out the Government paid at least 30 consultants up to £2,000 a day last year.
Prime Minister David Cameron deserves a medal for not saving
taxpayers’ money in his own backyard.
The total Government bill for consultants in 2013 was
£317million. Is it the government who runs the country or are they sitting back
and let the consultants do their work? Then the £317million is justified but
what are we then paying the Government for?
And there is more. The MoD also had been on a great drive of
cut back and axed 10,000 soldiers, RAF and Navy. Now we will see the
result. They spent £137million on technical
consultants who some earned £3,000 per day. Now that is economics and
mathematics of the highest order.
Labour Cabinet Office Minister Michael Douglas MP said: “You
really couldn’t make it up. Francis Maude spent money firing people then increased
the amount spent on consultants from £5million to nearly £24million.”
Hold it there for a minute was it not always Labour which
got it all wrong and brought this country into an economic crisis. Even the
artificially created “Credit Crunch” which came from the USA was always blamed
on Labour.
Now, what has gone wrong? Aha the Cabinet Office spokeswoman
explained it all: “Our work saved taxpayers £14.3billion for last year compared
to spending before the last general election.” There you are the old subject is
still alive. She added further: “Spend on consultants and contingent labour is
down 60 per cent since May 2010.” Now how about that! There is nothing better then
re-writing history by the Tories. Would we not like to see a breakdown of the
£14.3billion saved in one year? The other argument is that people did not have to
go to food banks and 1million children did not live under the bread line before
the election in May 2010.
Now going back to above mentioned figures when the consultants' fees rose from £5million to £24million yet the Tory spokeswoman stated that their
spending went down by 60 per cent. Even Einstein
could not come up with a statement and figures like that
