Under the new PM Johnson the spending gone through the roof and the secrecy is in full swing. However, now and then there is some leak of information. Most of the Cabinet minister and PM flying only in their private planes. Again there was a 10% increase of MPs' salaries but no extra money for Nurses and Doctors who deserve it most at the moment with Covid rages.
We have not heard about any cuts on their spending here. On the contrary MPs getting 10 per cent salary increase.
WESTMINSTER CLERKS ON OFFICIAL DUTIES, SUCH AS THE OPENING OF PARLIAMENT, WEAR TIGHTS |
NO AUSTERITY THERE !!!
Westminster officials including the nicknamed ‘men in tights’ spent £518,635 of taxpayers’ money on their procurement cards. In the year 2013/4 the spending went up by £80,000 compared to the year before 2012/3 of £437,317
Westminster officials including the nicknamed ‘men in tights’ spent £518,635 of taxpayers’ money on their procurement cards. In the year 2013/4 the spending went up by £80,000 compared to the year before 2012/3 of £437,317
.
So far it is the highest since the records began three years
ago. Altogether the Westminster staff
spent nearly £1.8million during the time the Coalition was in power. There goes another promise of the Prime Minister
David Cameron of cutting down expenditures.
Is he blaming it on Labour again as he usually does. Never mind if they
are not in power; they still would blame them.
A crafty move is the details are now to be kept as a secret since
the press exposed them in 2011 for charges of French lesson, Mandarin lesson because
his wife’s relative could not speak English, iTunes downloads
and dress hire in a three-year £1.5million spending spree. The cards are
for making a purchase quicker and easier.
But the memory is still there from before 2011 and they were
for luxury hotels, long-haul flights and restaurants and according to the
Freedom of Information laws the general information has not changed only the
personal details are not allowed to be known.
The total sum of the spending for the last year by the
Official is £61,594.49 on foreign travel plus £154,733.86 on subsistence,
meaning food and drinks. For touring
Britain £74,757.00 and £96,496.56 for food and drink was spent. These are incredible sums even when staying
in luxurious hotels and eating in top class restaurants. There are also expenses
for cleaning, couriers, newspapers, laundry, office supplies and official
dress. It is not quite clear whether they
are extras or included.
Now comes the best bit we ever heard coming out of the House
of Commons but it might not be the last.
A Commons Spokesman
insisted that tough rules are in place and said the increase had to be seen
against a fall in overall operating costs.
Now how about that?
All this high living for Westminster officials while the
same people trying to tell the general public they not only have to tighten their
belts but are missing meals to feed their children, going to food banks and
having to wait till they have got enough money to buy their kids shoes and
school uniforms.
That is the situation of today’s Britain created only and purely
by the Prime Minister David Cameron, his Cabinet and his Chancellor George
Osborne. They can not blame Labour any
more because the deficit went up and the economy went down, ever since they are
in power.
