UPDATE 26 Nov., 2016 --
The latest report from Government on unemployment is that they have the lowest figure for 11 years.
In my opinion if you look at all the reports of jobs losses in British Steel; MG Rovers moved to China; BHS closed down; chain stores reducing staff; building industry collapsed and so on; it is hard to belief the Government's statement of the lowest figure in 11 years.
It is well known that unemployment figures were artificially reduced by Zero-Hours-Contracts, cancelling unemployment payment for being 10 minutes late and all sorts of dirty tricks for people to come out of the unemployment figure.
The Office of National Statistics showed an increase of 61,000 unemployment in March. March is usually the month for reduction in unemployment because of the building work started again.
The ONS also showed a rise of women out of work with 40,000.
Chancellor George Osborne promised to achieve "zero in unemployment" and it was part of his economic strategy.
After one year in Government as a majority the Chancellor achieved the highest deficit for 67 years, an increase of £112million debts and an increase of 61,000 unemployment.
Mr Osborne and his friend Mr Cameron will not accept that austerity and cuts will reduce spending power and therefore reduce demand for goods being manufacturing with the result of further unemployment.
Now it will be even worse to come when Mr Osborne £12 Welfare Benefit cuts and £16billion Council cuts will come into effect in April.
New Work and Pensions Secretary Stephen Crabb tried to blame the increase of unemployment claims on the uncertainty over the future of Britain's place in EU. He definitely joined the ranks of Tories always blaming someone else.
It has no doubt some impact but the high unemployment was there for the past six years and to cut the figures down the government introduced "Zero Hours Contracts". DWP struck off anyone if they were only five or ten minutes late for their interview at job centres which was many times unavoidable due to traffic and bus service.
All these measures brought the figure down from 3 million to 1,7 million, the reality is still over 5 million, but the people lost their unemployment benefit which was really the aim.
