Update 9 August, 2020
It is only one of many being reported that the funds did not reach the people. WHY and WHERE did the money go?
When there is a disaster the UK public give freely and happily in the knowledge to help.
Then the UK Gov adds to it creating big headline of 'their good intention' but many a times reports appear, like this one, that people were left and they were to help themselves.
It happened too many times!!!!!
How can anyone, anyone swindle £4billion at such devastating times like that? Is there not even so much moral left to touch money from UK people collected and meant for Nepal people or any other people where a big disaster occurred? After all £4billion is a huge amount of money in their currency and would have made a huge difference!!!
There will be no doubt a new collection for Beirut now after the terrible explosion and most probably the same thing will happened again; the money will not reach the very people effected by it.
After two
years Nepal is being rebuilt by women.
According
to records £4billion were collected for the people of Nepal to rebuilt their
country. Certain regions were destroyed by two earthquakes. Now, it seems, that
there was hardly anything done to help these people.
In the mean
time, they had to endure two harsh winters and their younger generation moved
to other countries to earn money to support their families.
£4billion
is a vast amount of money in the UK leave alone in Nepal and with their low
cost of material and labour it would have rebuilt the areas in record time and
the rest of the country.
Apparently
the £4billion did not reach the people as usual. It had been noted that at all
the disaster the huge amount of money collected never reaches the people who
more than desperately needed it. This is
the lowest crime committed to steal money which is meant for people suffered a
major disaster and have nothing left.
This money
must have been taken by people or organisations along the line who have more
than enough already.
After two
years waiting and dealing with the daily life in an almost impossible situation
the women of Nepal took it on themselves to rebuilt their houses. No woman
should have been forced to do that. It is a far too heavy work but desperation
is driving them to it.
Whoever
snatched the money should be made, by court, to hand it over but that will never happen. Those who confiscated the money are the most powerful and richest of the country
It happens
every time that UK people are giving their last penny to those who are in desperate
need and every time millions of pounds are being collected. Soon after, we read
reports that the people are still suffer in the same situation and obvious the
money never reached them.
Who is cashing in on
disasters and let the people live or die in terrible shacks because their homes
are destroyed and huge sums of money are not passed on?
Can really anybody
be that greedy and sit calmly on the money?
Apparently yes!!!
