NEPAL REBUILT BY WOMEN Update 9 August, 2020

Update 9 August, 2020
It is only one of many being reported that the funds did not reach the people. WHY and WHERE did the money go?
When there is a disaster the UK public give freely and happily in the knowledge to help.
Then the UK Gov adds to it creating big headline of 'their good intention' but many a times reports appear, like this one, that people were left and they were to help themselves.
It happened too many times!!!!!
How can anyone, anyone swindle £4billion at such devastating times like that? Is there not even so much moral left to touch money from UK people collected and meant for Nepal people or any other people where a big disaster occurred? After all £4billion is a huge amount of money in their currency and would have made a huge difference!!!
There will be no doubt a new collection for Beirut now after the terrible explosion and most probably the same thing will happened again; the money will not reach the very people effected by it.

After two years Nepal is being rebuilt by women.

According to records £4billion were collected for the people of Nepal to rebuilt their country. Certain regions were destroyed by two earthquakes. Now, it seems, that there was hardly anything done to help these people.

In the mean time, they had to endure two harsh winters and their younger generation moved to other countries to earn money to support their families.

£4billion is a vast amount of money in the UK leave alone in Nepal and with their low cost of material and labour it would have rebuilt the areas in record time and the rest of the country.

Apparently the £4billion did not reach the people as usual. It had been noted that at all the disaster the huge amount of money collected never reaches the people who more than desperately needed it.  This is the lowest crime committed to steal money which is meant for people suffered a major disaster and have nothing left.

This money must have been taken by people or organisations along the line who have more than enough already.

After two years waiting and dealing with the daily life in an almost impossible situation the women of Nepal took it on themselves to rebuilt their houses. No woman should have been forced to do that. It is a far too heavy work but desperation is driving them to it.

Whoever snatched the money should be made, by court, to hand it over but that will never happen. Those who confiscated the money are the most powerful and richest of the country

It happens every time that UK people are giving their last penny to those who are in desperate need and every time millions of pounds are being collected. Soon after, we read reports that the people are still suffer in the same situation and obvious the money never reached them.

Who is cashing in on disasters and let the people live or die in terrible shacks because their homes are destroyed and huge sums of money are not passed on?

Can really anybody be that greedy and sit calmly on the money?
Apparently yes!!!

NEPAL TWO BIG EARTHQUAKE, LANDSLIDE - ONE YEAR -- Update 31 August,, 2015

What happened to the £15million UK people gave and also other nations round the world? Every disaster huge sums of money given by the people never reaches the people.

GOING TO SCHOOL
PAST DEVASTATED HOUSES
It is a disgrace that
nobody is there to clear it and rebuilt it
UK people alone gave
£15million and so did other nations

UPDATED: 31 August, 2015  --

It is now one year when the two great earthquake struck Nepal and the people are still struggling to rebuilt their homes, schools, hospitals  and their lives.

What happened to the £15million donation from the UK alone?

UK's people give so freely every time a disaster strikes but I noticed it never reaches the needy.

UPDATE: 31 May, 2015
Aftershocks still continuing and is a worry to parents trying to return to a normal life. Schools have 25,000 classrooms of 8,000 schools destroyed. People are trying to rebuilt them, temporarily, with bamboo and wood and tarpaulin. Teachers are doing their best to re-assure parents it is safe.

1.2million Nepalese children aged five to 16 have either never attended school or dropped out.

UPDATED: 24 May, 2015 -- A new catastrophe has struck Nepal. A landslide 140 km from Kathmandu blocked the river Kaligandaki  which eventually flows into India and into the Ganges.
This landslide blocked the river and already a huge lake is building up. About 200 metres. The emergency is trying to pump it over the landslide to keep it under control. People living around there had been advised to move out of the area. Heavy rains could cause further landslides. Hopefully, the international relief organisations will respond with all their forces this time.

UPDATE:  31 August, 2015 --

UPDATE:  16 May, 2015  ---    A new report in the Daily Mirror points out that after three weeks in Kathmandu and one week in Namche Bazaar the people are still short of food and safe water. This is a disgrace to all the governments and charity organisations. After all over £15million in the UK alone were given by the people of this country. Food and safe water is the  bare minimum which should have reach these people by now. So what happen to the £15million? The women still give birth in hospitals and buildings which had been damaged by the earthquake. After giving birth they have nowhere to go but outside into shelter which were erected with anything they could find. Giving  newborn child no chance or very little to survive.

The public gave very generously because their heart went out to these people. Why was the government  holding back? They had no right. This situation was noted on many occasions of  big disasters. It is not the first time. These people must be thinking nobody cares. It happened with disaster in Pakistan, there was a harsh winter as well,  and Bangladesh. Both ended with Cholera and Typhoid breaking out. Yet, again people of the UK gave millions of pounds. What happened to the money? Guess we will never know.

No excuse that the relief organisations could not get through because all the press could get there a day after it happened.

UPDATE: 14 May, 2015 --  So far the missing helicopter had not been locted after an extensive search. There were eight people on board.  One good news inll the terrible news that so far there were further deathtoll reported.

UPDATE: 12 May, 2015 --  The death has now risen to 65 and the injured to 2,000. Thousands of people spent the night outside fearing the buildings are not safe.  One US helicopter is missing which wanted to bring help to the people

Another Earthquake of 7.3 magnitude shook Nepal 40 minutes ago. It occurred near the Mountain Everest. The people had not recovered from the first earthquake and now suffered another sever earthquake. The town Namche Bazaar which is near the Everest mountain had been badly affected. Already 29 people are reported dead and 1,020 injured.

It was only two weeks ago  when an earthquake of a magnitude of 7.9 in Kathmandu had been reported causing over 8,000 death. According to the statics there is one in 200 chance to reach the magnitude of 7.9. The new earthquake was also felt in Kathmandu. It was felt as far a India and Bangladesh.

The disaster struck at 12.35 local time (06.50 GMT).There also had been an after tremor. People were rushing into the street and are scared to go back into their home. The quake lasted 20 seconds and the ground shook violently.

Our sympathy goes out to those poor people having to live through two massive earthquake within such a short time.
