OVER TWO MILLION PEOPLE ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS

SUMMARY  Office for National Statistics revealed 2.8 per cent of all people in employment in the UK are on Zero Hour Contracts, it is at least 900,000 more people.

That is how the Government comes up with a shining number of low unemployment. Put people on Zero-Hours-Contracts never mind if they get any work or money as long they are off the unemployment figure.

A 13 per cent increase for the same period last year. It had to be pointed out that it might not reflect the true picture.

Some people who claim to be on these contracts over a year might not have been recorded on the statistics for some reason or they could have changed their job with zero hour contract and had been registered twice or three times.

The real reason of the Government establishing Zero Hour Contracts is to give  no responsibility to the employers to keep the people employed and cuts them down to aim unfair dismissal.

It had been noticed for a long time that when the Tory Government changes something it is always for their advantage and disadvantage for the people.

People are aware of being down-trodden constantly but can’t do nothing until the GE2017.

Well the GE1017 brought a very small majority for the Tories and could not find any other coalition but DUP of Northern Ireland with a very bad history.

So far the Tories are still in Government with all the dirty tricks.

There are overall 1.3 to 2.2 million contracts which don’t guarantee any hours of work in 2015. The new figures for 2016 are being released later this week and will be updated on this blog.

GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS

My Opinion:     It would be appreciated if Mr Cameron not giving a Pantomime performance to entertain his Party at PMQ. He done it in the last five years when questioned about the economy where asked. Mr Corbyn also requested it and Mr Cameron agreed.

He still did  it in last Wednesday PMQ when Mr Corbyn questioned him about the slow reaction to floods. All Mr Corbyn received a Pantomime performance. His 92 advisers should point out how childish he looks. As Mr Corbyn pointed out that PMQ is there to solve problems or get answers and not clowning around instead giving a proper answer which he has not got

A Global Financial Crisis has hit the stock market again.

The last one was in 2008 was called a Credit Crunch but after a time it emerged that top financiers have pulled the plug. The Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown managed to bring the country back from minus 2.8 percent to plus 0,6 percent GDP within a year and then lost the election in 2010 to the Tories  When they took over the GDP stood at one per cent which vanished within two months.

Despite having two recessions and nearly missed the third the Prime Minister David Cameron continued to blame Labour for the debts and the Credit Crunch knowing fully well it was global and started in the USA.

The accusation Mr Cameron kept repeating it over the full five years in office. Yet, during five years the Tory increased the debts by £500billion, had two recessions and had UK’s credit rating reduced despite cuts and austerity with a promise to bring the deficit down.

Mr Cameron even pointed the finger at Labour during the General Election in 2015 and blamed them for the bad economy even so he was in office since 2010.

Due to the smears and wrong accusation Labour lost the election and Mr Cameron  promised the voters an improvement in the economy.  It must have been a major factor in Labour losing the election.

However, ever since the Tories were elected, as a majority, the FTSE shows mostly a minus and so far, since May 2015, it lost 1,500 on its share value.

Mr Cameron stopped hammering the Labour and turned his blame on Europe.
Now, two days ago, the Global Stock market went into an overall downward spin and it lost $37billion in one day.

Mr Cameron is now haunted by his own words from the General Election. Let’s see if he does better than Gordon Brown whom he kept ridiculing constantly, plus the Labour Party.

Mr Cameron and Chancellor George Osborne have nothing to offer to improve the economy but still insist on austerity.

It is obvious to anyone, even the plebs that austerity only brings the economy down. Despite the Government already run the general public into the ground and over one million people using food banks they still continue to introduce a £12billion Welfare cut plus £16billion Public Service cut on top of it all.

The austerity already shows in the economy because manufacturers slowing down production on account of lower demand for goods.  With further cuts it will almost grind to a standstill like at the end of Thatcher reign.

It is unbelievable that a Prime Minister and Chancellor can not see that?  It will increase more unemployment and more demand for benefits with no production of goods.

Again the voters fell for the Tories smear, lies and false promises.  Even without the Global Crisis which could not have been foreseen they bringing the people even further down to starvation and homelessness.

In May 2016 there is the local election and it is hoped that voters will vote and win Labour, this time, the right party who cares for the people and not for their own pocket only.

In the last three years the multi-millionaires and multi-billionaires have doubled and trebled while the same people have brought the general public down to starvation and relying on food banks. None of those rich ones pay a penny of tax into the country. They certainly are all in this together.

That is the Tory Government for you which in my opinion won a doubtful election. No way had the majority of people voted for the Tories after being already brought down to the lowest level in the last five years.

AIDS -- ACQUIRED IMMUNE DEFICIENCY SYNDROME

The Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or in short AIDS is in most case fatal. So far there had been no cure when the body’s immune system breaks down.

AIDS was first identified in the United States in 1981. However, cases are on record since 1940.

In 1983 the cause of Aids was discovered s a result of infection by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus = HIV is transmitted. The body fluids of an infected person enter another person’s bloodstream. The virus then attacks cells of the immune system. It has been known that people carry the HIV positive virus for ten years or even more without developing AIDS
.
Infected people mostly die of infections which normally are not attacking people with healthy immune systems such are rare pneumonia or skin cancer.

It is thought that HIV comes from a virus found in group of African monkeys as far back as 140 years ago. However, AIDS was not diagnosed till recently because it was always diagnosed as syphilis and tuberculosis.

When the diseases came under controlled during the mid 20th century it was realised that AIDS was a separate condition.

People who are most at risks are homosexual, bisexual men, drug users who inject with shared needles, surgical patients and haemophiliacs treated with contaminated blood.

The increase in tourism is also a great breeding ground for AIDS.  Another area where AIDS is likely spreading is drugs used for recreation and the easily availability of heroin which encourage the use of plastic syringes has brought about a populations of injecting drugs users most in large cities.

The increase of prostitution in cities and trade routes between African countries turned into an epidemic of AIDS in the early 1980s. In some areas were 20 per cent of the Adult population infected.  Mass immunisation programme started but without rigorous sterilisation of needles increased the disease even further

By 1995 a total of 1.2 million cases of AIDS were reported to the World Health Organisation. An estimate of 4.5 million cases worldwide is suffering from AIDS now since the epidemic began.

2014 -- A report shows that in the Western World AIDS is contained or even slightly reduced but at the moment Russia it is on the increase.

President Putin does not seem to be willing to spend any money to get AIDS under control.

NEW ANTI-STRIKE LAWS ISSUED Update 15 Jan., 2017

Update 15 Jan., 2017 --
Theresa May new Prime Minister is again planning to make anti-strike law. It followed her grant sounding speech after the New Year including  promise of creating a more equality nation. Well it proved her words are just words as with Cameron. Furthermore, despite NHS is in worst crisis further cuts had been planned.

Britain has already the most restricted anti-strike law in the Western world.

Newly elected Tory Business Secretary Sajid Javid promised to unveiled plans to make it even harder for trade unionists to take strike actions. The new law will allow employers to take agency staff during a strike to replace workers taking strike actions. This is a great folly and will be costing twice as much. Will the government pay for it but it will be no surprise they charge it to the taxpayers as they did with their election campaign?

At the moment the anti-strike legislation demands to have a 40 per cent support from the workers. Javid wants to have it increased to 50 per cent.

Sarah Sachs-Eldridge of the Socialists Party said: “David Cameron incoming Conservatism Government was elected by just 24 per cent of the electorates would not even be in Downing Street if the same law would have applied to them.  The calculation of the Tory government is that they can effectively outlaw strikes in the public sector.  However, they may well be over-reaching themselves in their euphoria of their narrow victory.  The root causes of industrial actions, low bullying at work, long hours, zero-hours-contract, etc cannot be wished away by an act of Parliament. The consequences of the proposal will be widespread anger. The Socialist Party will be campaigning energetically for action, to defend the right to strike.”

The Labour Party and Unions will be joining.

After five years of the previous government Tory and LibDem the living standard dropped dramatically because of the decreasing payments.

At the same time the 650 MPs had a pay rise of 11 per cent and will receive this year another £7,000.
Rich people doubled and trebled their fortune in the last three years, according to the Telegraph.

The move to increase anti-strike legislation is no surprise to any one and at least to the Union. It must the first action the newly formed Cabinet made.

RMT General Secretary Mike Cash said: “It was on the cards that this government, a wholly owned subsidiary of idle rich and bad bosses, will move to tighten the noose of the anti-union laws around the workers’ necks at the earliest opportunity.

“This proposed new form of law will mean one form of democracy for the greedy political class and another for the organised working class.

“The Trade Unions will unite to fight these attacks.”

NEPAL TWO BIG EARTHQUAKE, LANDSLIDE - ONE YEAR -- Update 31 August,, 2015

What happened to the £15million UK people gave and also other nations round the world? Every disaster huge sums of money given by the people never reaches the people.

GOING TO SCHOOL
PAST DEVASTATED HOUSES
It is a disgrace that
nobody is there to clear it and rebuilt it
UK people alone gave
£15million and so did other nations

UPDATED: 31 August, 2015  --

It is now one year when the two great earthquake struck Nepal and the people are still struggling to rebuilt their homes, schools, hospitals  and their lives.

What happened to the £15million donation from the UK alone?

UK's people give so freely every time a disaster strikes but I noticed it never reaches the needy.

UPDATE: 31 May, 2015
Aftershocks still continuing and is a worry to parents trying to return to a normal life. Schools have 25,000 classrooms of 8,000 schools destroyed. People are trying to rebuilt them, temporarily, with bamboo and wood and tarpaulin. Teachers are doing their best to re-assure parents it is safe.

1.2million Nepalese children aged five to 16 have either never attended school or dropped out.

UPDATED: 24 May, 2015 -- A new catastrophe has struck Nepal. A landslide 140 km from Kathmandu blocked the river Kaligandaki  which eventually flows into India and into the Ganges.
This landslide blocked the river and already a huge lake is building up. About 200 metres. The emergency is trying to pump it over the landslide to keep it under control. People living around there had been advised to move out of the area. Heavy rains could cause further landslides. Hopefully, the international relief organisations will respond with all their forces this time.

UPDATE:  31 August, 2015 --

UPDATE:  16 May, 2015  ---    A new report in the Daily Mirror points out that after three weeks in Kathmandu and one week in Namche Bazaar the people are still short of food and safe water. This is a disgrace to all the governments and charity organisations. After all over £15million in the UK alone were given by the people of this country. Food and safe water is the  bare minimum which should have reach these people by now. So what happen to the £15million? The women still give birth in hospitals and buildings which had been damaged by the earthquake. After giving birth they have nowhere to go but outside into shelter which were erected with anything they could find. Giving  newborn child no chance or very little to survive.

The public gave very generously because their heart went out to these people. Why was the government  holding back? They had no right. This situation was noted on many occasions of  big disasters. It is not the first time. These people must be thinking nobody cares. It happened with disaster in Pakistan, there was a harsh winter as well,  and Bangladesh. Both ended with Cholera and Typhoid breaking out. Yet, again people of the UK gave millions of pounds. What happened to the money? Guess we will never know.

No excuse that the relief organisations could not get through because all the press could get there a day after it happened.

UPDATE: 14 May, 2015 --  So far the missing helicopter had not been locted after an extensive search. There were eight people on board.  One good news inll the terrible news that so far there were further deathtoll reported.

Another Earthquake of 7.3 magnitude shook Nepal 40 minutes ago. It occurred near the Mountain Everest. The people had not recovered from the first earthquake and now suffered another sever earthquake. The town Namche Bazaar which is near the Everest mountain had been badly affected. Already 29 people are reported dead and 1,020 injured.

It was only two weeks ago  when an earthquake of a magnitude of 7.9 in Kathmandu had been reported causing over 8,000 death. According to the statics there is one in 200 chance to reach the magnitude of 7.9. The new earthquake was also felt in Kathmandu. It was felt as far a India and Bangladesh.

The disaster struck at 12.35 local time (06.50 GMT).There also had been an after tremor. People were rushing into the street and are scared to go back into their home. The quake lasted 20 seconds and the ground shook violently.

Our sympathy goes out to those poor people having to live through two massive earthquake within such a short time.

SAMHAIN AND ALL SAINT'S FESTIVAL

The Samhain and All Saint's festival are not far apart as it is assumed by the majority of people.
Samhain is the end of the light half and the beginning of the dark half of the year. The Celtic people celebrated it as the New Year.
It is the time were the line between the mortal world and spirit world is the thinnest. Therefore it is the best time to cross the line one way or the other.
Samhain is two words samh "summer" and fuin "end".
In the old days the tradition was to leave food for the spirits or bury apples to nourish the souls.
Pope Gregory changed that in 835 and the church bind the two together and called it All Saints' day.
This was the time when cattle were slaughtered and preserved for the winter, fruit and vegetables gathered and preserved. Plants and trees died down and therefore Samhain became the festival to celebrate death.

ON "ALL SAINTS FESTIVAL"
PEOPLE VISIT THE GRAVES
PUT FLOWERS AND CANDLES

Despite Christian Churches saw it as a pagan holiday, the feast continued every year and people are unaware of the connection.
Whichever you celebrate - Samhain or All Saints Day - it is a time to remember the death and thank them for what they have done for us and sacrificed for us.

SUMMARY: It is amazing and astonishing to find out how closed the Pagan religion and Christian religion really is. Unless you look way back into the so-called dark ages and learn about it, this fact will not be noticed. In order to introduce Christianity to people in those days it was a common practice to incorporate pagan festivals into the Christian religion. Over the century the pagan festivals were almost forgotten and only in the last few decades people rediscovered the paganism. It was then brought into focus that many Christian festivals originated at pagan times.

WATER SKIING

The inventor of water skiing is undoubtedly the Minnesota, Ralph Samuelson.  In 1922, a teenager at that time, changed his snow skis to be used on the surface of the lake. He is a recognized inventor of water-skiing.
It is estimated that 20,000 people water-ski for fun. Of course, it didn't take long and competitions were held. The world championship is held in several categories. From the humble beginning it developed now into a sophisticated sport and equipment industry. Skies are made of fibreglass and the binding is made of rubber which supports the ankle but releases the foot the moment the skier falls.
There are different skis for each discipline.
In a tournament of water skiing are three different events. It includes slalom, jumping and trick skiing. The skier wins points in every event and at the end there is one champion. The skiers in slalom have one ski, the competitors in jumping use two skies. The trick skier uses either one or two skies.

SLALOM

Slalom
The slalom is held on a 259m long course. The boat drives down straight but the skier rides from side to side going round the outside of the six buoys. The skiers continue until they fall or miss a buoy. After every buoy the difficulty increases because the boat either speeds up or the towline shortens. The winner is either of rounding the highest number of buoys or on a shortened line the most buoys

Ski Jumpers
Ski jumpers have short lines but face the fibreglass ramp. The ramp is waxed and has running water on it. For men it is 1.65-1.8m and for women 1.5m high. The boats have to pass on the right of the ramp and the skiers go to the left, racing up the slop and shooting into the air. They allowed three jumps and on record is the longest jump.

Trick Skiing
Trick skiing is on a straight 175m long course. The skier does as many tricks as possible in a 20 second pass. There are a set of points for every trick. Some tricks are only basic like turning and skiing backward. The high scoring points is a back flip. Another is leaping over the towline. Toe-holds are where the skier grips the handle with the feet. All these tricks are supervised by five judges to make sure it is done correctly.

Ski Racers
Ski racers are done with one long ski and the skier can lean back into supporting straps. In a competitor race, there can be up to 60 boats and the speed can reach 130km/h. The crew consist of two. One is the driver and the other the observer who is watching over the skier.

Freestyle
Freestyles are skiers who jump off the ramp and do daring tricks. The tricks are helicopters spins and twisting flips. They are judged on style and distance which can be up to 40m and they get points on that. This distance is incredible even without a stunt.

Barefoot
Barefoot water skiing is a serious and earnest business. They still get the old joke to hear - Hey, you've forgotten your skis. In 1991 John Kretchman (USA) managed a 26.3m jump. They also do stunts like the tumbleturns.
