What happened to the £15million UK people gave and also other nations round the world? Every disaster huge sums of money given by the people never reaches the people.
GOING TO SCHOOL PAST DEVASTATED HOUSES It is a disgrace that nobody is there to clear it and rebuilt it UK people alone gave £15million and so did other nations |
It is now one year when the two great earthquake struck Nepal and the people are still struggling to rebuilt their homes, schools, hospitals and their lives.
What happened to the £15million donation from the UK alone?
UK's people give so freely every time a disaster strikes but I noticed it never reaches the needy.

UPDATED: 24 May, 2015 -- A new catastrophe has struck Nepal. A landslide 140 km from Kathmandu blocked the river Kaligandaki which eventually flows into India and into the Ganges.
This landslide blocked the river and already a huge lake is building up. About 200 metres. The emergency is trying to pump it over the landslide to keep it under control. People living around there had been advised to move out of the area. Heavy rains could cause further landslides. Hopefully, the international relief organisations will respond with all their forces this time.
UPDATE: 31 August, 2015 --
UPDATE: 16 May, 2015 --- A new report in the Daily Mirror points out that after three weeks in Kathmandu and one week in Namche Bazaar the people are still short of food and safe water. This is a disgrace to all the governments and charity organisations. After all over £15million in the UK alone were given by the people of this country. Food and safe water is the bare minimum which should have reach these people by now. So what happen to the £15million? The women still give birth in hospitals and buildings which had been damaged by the earthquake. After giving birth they have nowhere to go but outside into shelter which were erected with anything they could find. Giving newborn child no chance or very little to survive.
The public gave very generously because their heart went out to these people. Why was the government holding back? They had no right. This situation was noted on many occasions of big disasters. It is not the first time. These people must be thinking nobody cares. It happened with disaster in Pakistan, there was a harsh winter as well, and Bangladesh. Both ended with Cholera and Typhoid breaking out. Yet, again people of the UK gave millions of pounds. What happened to the money? Guess we will never know.
No excuse that the relief organisations could not get through because all the press could get there a day after it happened.

Another Earthquake of 7.3 magnitude shook Nepal 40 minutes ago. It occurred near the Mountain Everest. The people had not recovered from the first earthquake and now suffered another sever earthquake. The town Namche Bazaar which is near the Everest mountain had been badly affected. Already 29 people are reported dead and 1,020 injured.
It was only two weeks ago when an earthquake of a magnitude of 7.9 in Kathmandu had been reported causing over 8,000 death. According to the statics there is one in 200 chance to reach the magnitude of 7.9. The new earthquake was also felt in Kathmandu. It was felt as far a India and Bangladesh.
The disaster struck at 12.35 local time (06.50 GMT).There also had been an after tremor. People were rushing into the street and are scared to go back into their home. The quake lasted 20 seconds and the ground shook violently.
Our sympathy goes out to those poor people having to live through two massive earthquake within such a short time.
